Fisher-Price Rock-a-Stack Toy Bleeds Blue Dye
Most toddler toys are painted bright colors to keep the children’s attention. Most people would expect the color to stay on the toy and not to come off onto the child. However, Fisher Price has dropped the ball on this one. Fisher Price’s popular toy, the Rock-a-stack, apparently bleeds blue. Parental reports show that the blue dye comes off of the toy in huge amounts. This is especially frightening because it is a toy that is expected to be put in the child’s mouth.

As you can see in the pictures, the blue dye leaked onto the toy stand and the carpet. Fisher Price is a respectable company that has been around for a long time and should take more care in manufacturing its products. Fisher Price maintains that the dye is non-toxic, but that does not mean that it is healthy if consumed. Posted complaints began in Spring 2009, and some refer to purchasing the toy at Target.
At this point, the company has no recall planned.

That is my son in that consumerist article. My Brother bought the toy, along with my Mom for my son. I have recently searched for more online complaints, and they are continuing to pile up. I can send you some complaints I’ve found after ours was reported.
Keep in mind, it is a small percentage that actually ever complain, how many more of these are out there?
