Motorcycle Racing for Kids
I made my way to the Roadracing World website today. It’s the online site for Roadracing World Magazine. Although I may not be interested in roadracing bikes myself, I have no beef with people who are interested in that sport reading about equipment and events and talking about safety issues, all of which are topics that can be found at the website and, presumably, in the print magazine. (One of the events mentioned was a Harley Davidson dealership-sponsored women-only “garage party” coming up in March 2010. Now, that sounds interesting.)
I was surprised to see one of the products for sale on its website: The Little Motorcycle” is a children’s picture book “just for racers and their kids!”
According to the website, the picture book was written and illustrated by racers about motorcycle racing. TeeZee the racebike goes from winter sleep to Daytona racing action!
The website also has a link to The Little Motorcycle Special Series Coloring Page Free Download.
I’m not endorsing or criticizing the site or the book. I don’t do motorcycle racing. I’m just wondering what other parents think.

Great
Motorcycles and kids are great together
It’s family, it’s hand eye co ordination, it’s fitness, it’s responsibility
Make sure the kid’s are wearing gear and teach them properly and they will have a hobby and/or career they can do for their whole life
It’s a great lifestyle full of interesting people

It’s what some “other parents think”.
Some parents take their kids hunting. Some put them on football teams. Some sign them up for gymnastics. Some prop them up in front of tv’s and computers. Some parents spend no time at all with their kids.
I’m not sure what kind of “thoughts” you are seeking here, but my guess is you’re looking for something many of us are not going to view in a favorable light.
I say that simply because:
A) you’re a lawyer
B) you admit to knowing nothing about the book
C) you admit to knowing nothing about motorcycles
D) you then, obviously, know nothing about racing
Roger: Thank you very much for your comment and your thoughts. I checked out the link. It has very helpful information, and I appreciate your sharing it.
I really can’t see anything wrong with this book.
